This Calgary community was farmland until 1991 — Coventry Hills, in the northwest.
Today it’s one of Calgary’s biggest north-side communities — 17,350 people, and one in five is a kid under 14. It sits on the city’s northern edge, with Stoney Trail to the north, Deerfoot Trail and Nose Creek to the east, and the airport less than 10 kilometres away. Kids here go from kindergarten to Grade 12 without leaving the community, and Nose Creek Parkway runs along its eastern edge — paved trails, picnic spots, and a split glacial rock.
Would you live here? Tell me what Calgary community I should feature next.
